The past year has been totally epic! Short version:
In December of 2019 I was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Chemotherapy and a lot of hospital time followed including a stem cell transplant. I have been cancer free for about one year now and I am mostly recovered from that ordeal although weaker and lighter and stiffer. Follow my caring bridge site for more of a play by play.
Very short version: it was hell but thanks to my medical team, family and the friends who stuck close throughout I made it through.
I am immune compromised now and not allowed on planes trains and in concerts. That sort of thing.
In the meantime I took about 7 months off from work thanks to very understanding clients. I am now working part time and have a rather extreme workload which I seem to be managing well enough to keep clients and builders satisfied. I’m also doing really interesting and cutting edge work from the hemp cottages to the tilt-_shift house and the recently completed Otis-house with Mindel and Morse Builders as a follow up to what we learned from the Sugar Bush House
The Sugar Bush House with Mindel and Morse Builders continues to fuel my rise in fame and fortune and even won an honor award from the Vermont AIA chapter.
I’m excited to see what’s going to happen next. Also a little bit frightened. Here’s one thing happening next
Look familiar??
The pretty Good house book is coming out for real at the end of June!!
